Classical Horsemanship offers horse training and riding lessons in the Fort Collins area. We also offer clinics both locally and internationally.

Our raining and instruction is based on French classical dressage riding principles, which emphasizes the partnership between rider and horse. Like partners in a dance, rider and horse learn to communicate through a language of gentle touch – the aids.

Lessons are given at our barn in Northwest Fort Collins with your horse or one of our school horses.   Riders of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome.

Classical Horsemanship ~ Harmony with Horses

What is Classical Horsemanship training?

Classical riding and the classical approach to horse training is based on a partnership between the rider and the horse. In good classical riding, a dance is formed between horse and rider, much like ballroom dancing.

Riders of all levels are welcome at Classical Horsemanship. Whatever your previous discpline you choose, or previous experience with riding lessons our lesson program can benefit your riding. Our lessons focus on riders having good harmonious seats & forming a clear language for communicating with horses.
