About Madisson Weiss

Madisson Weiss was born in raised in a small town in central Iowa, where she discovered her love for horses at a very young age. She boarded her first horse across the street with friendly neighbors on a small acreage; soon she was involved in clubs and competing in small shows, including 4-H and FFA.

After high school, Maddie moved to Minnesota where she competed in mounted shooting. In 2017 she moved to Sterling, Colorado to work with a trainer that specialized in western trail riding. There she learned how to operate a large horse training and sales facility, as well as learning how to work with multiple different horse breeds. After 4 years, she was drawn to the front range of Colorado in search of new opportunities. That is when she met Megan Sorentino, owner and head trainer of Classical Horsemanship. Maddie quickly fell in love with this gentle and kind approach of training. She felt like this is what she had been looking for her whole life with horses.

Maddie is currently barn manager and assistant trainer for Classical Horsemanship. She does a wonderful job of making sure the barn stays tidy and on schedule, while still having fun. Her kind, helpful nature, good communication skills and strong work ethic, highlight her teaching style as she instructs students of all ages and levels of students.
